Every step tells a story

At the beginning of the last century, in a neighborhood on the northern outskirts of Naples — San Pietro a Patierno — on a street where luxury was little more than a mirage, our parents' grandparents opened a small repair shop, giving a second life to shoes that others had given up for lost.

After the Second World War, that same street filled with artisans. They worked surrounded by their families, above all children — to whom, one day, they would pass down everything they knew. And so that street became 'O 'vico de scarpare — the shoemakers' alley.

Some would go around buying up old military combat boots and bring them to this community of craftsmen, who patiently brought them back to life. Those were times of great poverty and few opportunities — yet it was that very hardship that allowed them to refine a craft that would be handed down for generations.

Over the years, our family has continually raised the bar for quality, collaborating with the finest names in high fashion and supplying them with products of excellence.

Every sandal is born from the same gestures as back then — cutting the leather by hand, selecting each hide one by one, shaping the sole to the rhythm of the foot. It is not just a shoe: it is an imprint that resembles you.

Today our company, Sandaleria Parisi, sources and works with the finest Italian materials. Drawing on the expertise of Ciro Russo, we design, craft and place our pieces in the finest shop windows in Italy and around the world.
